Learning and Living it…

I love this sooo cute doesn't match my blog at all hehe

 

We don’t have to feel the way our brain tells us too, we have the power to change it! some people have drugs but not me, I use the old natural way a ballpeen hammer…a few hits and I’m good (I mean to myself).

I understand about chemistry in the brain and how everything can effect it in a negative or positive manner, food, people, unhappy people, if you live by a transformer, childhood issues, environment, exercise, anything else you can think of? Oh yeah anti depressants not a big fan of them…They can make life worse actually. Try chocolate, exercise or sex instead!

You hold the key to your happiness and sometimes you can’t just think yourself happy but we can start there. Thought is very important, we get addicted to bad feelings sometimes if thats all you grew up with (that was me) So we have to recondition that little brain of ours to be happy, taking into consideration all of the things mentioned above. Using all your resources and the hammer, you should get a great result.

Don’t just learn something…Live it, put it into your reality, make room for new good habits and throw out all the old crap that never worked for you thus far. Yep, you can do it…All it takes it a changing of the mind at first, to take a new route instead of the old way home from work find new things to look at including yourself get a makeover you 70’s haired chick or maybe its 80’s stiff bangs (oh wait that could be back in next week).

Food is very important, everything we put in our bodies either holds a negative or positive charge. Colorful food has good vibrations, thats why God made them the wonderful colors he did. Better check and see if pesticides were used, they will take the food to a negative vibration. Organic is the best way to go sorry you will spend extra but you will spend more money healing from the damage the pesticides caused. If you can find meat that has been raised without hormones congratulations it is a job, like hunting in the caveman days again get in your loin cloth and get to the store hehe.

Eat little but frequently it will keep your blood sugar level in check, no dips and cranky attitudes… dudes.

Positive people…surround yourself with great life players not those who haven’t eaten their Wheaties. Life is fun when you can build your life around love and laughter. I know circumstances play a role in life , like someone is sick or dying or has died yep I am a survivor of all of the above including heart failure mydernself (from a broken heart). Yes, it happens to all of us and no one gets out unscathed but still find reasons to celebrate moments of non-pain…today I celebrate my son he has been sick for many months and he is coming into a new health and healing!! I will dance and party tonite…Life is Good..sometimes learn it and live it.

What about ME?

I just turned fifty yes... 50 so don't think I'm being narcissistic I'm showing you with good food good love and good life you can still be an awesome YOU! okay its not a close up... 😉

Being perfect, is that possible? Well hunny, you will die tryin’ I watched my sister try to give all to men that never appreciated her, including money and all the LOVE or sex they possibly want or need. To no avail. I watched her suffer at the end of her life, without a man to hold her or walk beside her while she transitioned on to the next life. My mother the same. I guess these are the choices we make in this life.

A woman must be careful in whom she gives her pearls to. Let’s see how many swine I have dated. In the beginning there was that swine from the south, he paraded around like a “Cock” alright, and he sure was just that. I had my first three children with that one. Love my babies, they really came from God and were gifted to me. They just kept lining up to give me the “bacon” and I ate it every hard piece, not really understanding that I did not have too. Women are conditioned to take it “Like a man” don’t cry, just get up and do what ever it is your told and don’t question it. Even when you feel something fucked up in your own soul. We are given little indicators, they don’t light up when things are wrong but they will poke or stab maybe slash you right in the tummy and we ignore the signs like we just ate something bad, and it will go away in a few days.

Learn to listen to THY SELF will ya…? I’m still talking to myself here. I question when I get a tummy poke is that my crazy head again? No it’s yur stomach goof ball…Listen to it! It was put there for a reason like an animal in danger, we know the signs and we choose to ignore them. Thats where the trouble starts when we don’t listen to our true selves. Heart over head although we know things in our hearts too and still ignore it. We have all kinds of stealthy radar built into our sexy systems, we must learn how to read the incoming enemy gages. “Doctor Smith Doctor Smith Warning Warning” for those of us who grew up in the late 60’s -70’s. Who ever listens to the robot or mom, dad aunt…non of us we must test out our own stealth system and learn how it works by trial, error, battle and war. Just think how young and scar-less we would be if we learned our systems early.

Gals love your selves…I am still talking to me, but don’t give up chances to live, to travel, to have fun and gain truths, live truths instead of always compromising and lying to ourselves…find out what the hech you like, love and take it!!

Is it the human condition or the condition of a certain gender? Trying to accommodate everyone and yourself is a tough road to hoe, especially if you are the only one with the shovel.

OVERWEIGHT and STARVING…

Eat the right foods you won’t be hungry PROTEINS…MMM

I can’t help but notice people staring at the overweight woman and her kids as they shop through the super market. I take a quick peek in her basket and see, white bread from Wonder, frozen family dinners, processed cheese and cookies, colored sugar-water, juices made with high fructose corn syrup. I know she’s thinking these choices will satiate her children’s hunger pangs and with little money, she is stretching her dollars the best way she knows how. She has not been educated in the nutritional facts of  feeding her family, this is obvious, and really, how many of us are?

The dirty looks from the other shoppers are condescending and shaming. She pretends not to notice but can feel the sting of their penetrating gazes. Maybe she’s a single mom, struggling with making a weeks worth of food stretch for a month. Who’s fault is this? Well, it is a collective responsibility, the welfare system, education system, they don’t teach the truth about how to eat or feed your family. Without getting into the blame game so much, there is something we can do about it from here.

Mom’s have to take charge since the the family relies on them to provide the meals. The 50’s brought us into the tv dinner and quick-prepared food age, processed food came on the scene and the whole foods were for the hippies. Processed foods are inexpensive and economically challenged families are more likely to buy these products.

Learning how to prepare foods that have energy and add life to the body is not a hard task, it just takes changing old habits into positive new ones. Start by investigating and finding the whole foods, then adding new recipes into the family meal time. The kids’ taste buds will take time to change, but once you start eating clean and foods that are alive the body will soon crave more natural tastes.

Since our food is so nutritionally depleted these days, there is no getting away from taking vitamin and mineral supplements to help get the nutrition that is needed. If we supplement our children’s diet they will be brighter, happier and have less weight issues. Instead of a generation dependent on anti-depressants or ADHD medicine to feel normal, let thy food be thy medicine…Hypocrates.

With todays fast food diets the children are still hungry although they eat large quantities of food. The children do not understand why they are addicted to eating and why they are gaining the weight. The body says “I’m hungry” but by over feeding them, mom is setting them up for trouble such as, diabetes and a lifestyle that could include diseases such as cancer, high blood pressure, heart disease from a diet filled with empty calories. Education is key to eliminating these issues.

If mothers could have a lesson or two or three in nutrition it would save the family illness, depression lack of self-esteem, and humiliation. Eating well doesn’t always mean having to eat organics or expensive foods. People can eat simple and for less money, understanding nutrition is the key to health, saving money, illness and heartache all the way around.

The severe effects of vitamin and mineral deficiencies, such as anemia, cretinism and blindness, have long been known. The report sheds new light on other problems caused by less extreme deficiencies. For example:

  • Iron deficiency impairs intellectual development in young children and
    is lowering national IQs.
  • Vitamin A deficiency compromises the immune systems of approximately
    40% of children under five in the developing world, leading to the deaths
    of 1 million youngsters each year.
  • Iodine deficiency in pregnancy is causing as many as 20 million babies
    a year to be born mentally impaired.

First, vitamins and minerals can stave off many health issues before they become chronic. Feeding our bodies for optimum health has to be planned and we have to be very mindful in gathering the needed supplements and foods. Yes it’s work and you need to budget your money well, to buy the highest quality foods. This is easier than fixing the body when it is broken. Feeding the body what it needs will stop the cravings for empty carbs and sugars that create obesity and depression.

Try beans they are cheap and filled with fiber and protein.

Choose whole grain breads. The bread test: If the loaf of bread can break a window, you can eat it and serve it to your family.

Yogurts, non-sweetened use maple syrup for sweetener.

Less is more as long as its whole foods you are choosing. The more nutrition in the food the less food that will be needed to satisfy.

Brown rice is great for the blood sugar, it is rich in fiber and very filling. In the morning mix with pecans and maple syrup or honey, raisins and or cranberries and bananas. Mix up your own recipes. let the kids add what they like.

Shop around the perimeter of the grocery store thats where the fresh foods are.

Feed the body not the cravings. Learn what the body needs to run on to be at its optimum health. Remember eat foods as close to their natural state as possible to get the full power from them. Good Luck!
